Hi all, just joined here as were looking to buy a 2021 or 2022 1.5tsi kamiiq manual.
Are these generally reliable? Do they run on chain, belt or wetbelt , has there been any issues if it's a wet? So many horror stories with cars nowadays, we bought our last used car 11 year ago. Time for am upgrade.
Thanks
Ltb used kamiq
I’ve had my Kamiq (1.0l SEL auto) since 03/2020 & although low mileage it’s been trouble free. I absolutely love the car.
Not sure if it’s chain or wet belt (although doubt that). Just remember this engine is from the Volkswagen/Audi family so it’s the same in polo, golf Audi A1 A2 Skoda & seat so I think you can feel confident it’s a well established & proven engine & transmission.
PS, I’d never have anything with a ‘wet belt’ so risky

How's the 1.0 drive with car full, like 4 adults in, Is it still powerful enough going uphills and such. There seems to be much more used 1.0s than 1.5 engine.Lofty wrote: ↑Fri Mar 28, 2025 6:21 pm I’ve had my Kamiq (1.0l SEL auto) since 03/2020 & although low mileage it’s been trouble free.
