Start stop not working

Hi people, I need some advise on start stop systems on the Kamiq. I've had the car about a month and then system has worked properly worked about twice.
I think it's to do with the battery condition but need a sense check on my theory. The car when bought was for sale over 3 months so I think perhaps the state of the battery has been reduced?
The car is a school run car mostly but when I have taken it on bigger trips for example over 100 mile it still didn't work. I always get the A symbol in the circle with the line though it. Love to get some thoughts on this.

Mines a bit hit and miss at times, Sometimes it works, And sometimes it doesn't. But to be honest stop start can be a pain. Now i just switch it off.

Had mine since Sept last year, bought new. Although I often switch stop/start off, when I do leave it on it works faultlessly.
The only time it’s not worked is when air con is on.

Mine is the same, works faultlessly except not at all when the air con is on. Previous car would stop engine with a/c on, but would restart after a minute or 3, presumably battery draining a little?
A fascinating featurev is that when the engine is stalled (wife mostly), it re-starts automatically without turning the ignition off & on again.

Mine rarely works. Has to be a very long run before it does or for the battery to have been charged by my charger. I do mostly short runs but even on long runs it rarely works. I suspect the "intelligent" charging system isn't really that great. While the car was still under warranty I asked the dealer to check the stop/start and charging, and they said both were working correctly. Can't say I am that bothered as the benefit of stop/start is questionable for my use of the car. Bizarrely it seems to work more often at night, when the lights are in use, than in the day. I wonder if it charges better when the lights are on.
