Hi, hopefully no one has had to fit a spare or space saver wheel, (for those that have one) , in an emergency. Recently acquired a spare so removed all the gubbins from the boot. Wrench and 2 sockets came with the wheel but thought I would try them on the special locking bolt. Both do not fit; anyone else find this. Will have to find my own socket. Would not have been pleased to find this out on the side of a road.

You should have the relative locking nut socket with the original car equipment....if not, how could you take a wheel off to check brakes etc.

Hi Halin9, thanks for your message. I have the relative locking nut but you need a socket to fit the flats on the nut, this is he problem.

Update. Well guess what, the socket that came with the spare wheel is double ended. Panic over. And to think I was an engineer on Tornado aircraft. Doh
